Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical Unit III at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. This part-time, day-shift role focuses on comprehensive patient assessments, safe medication administration, and collaborative care planning with physicians and the care team.

The RN will document in EPIC, provide patient education, and participate in rounds to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred; EMR experience (EPIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene and advocate for patients.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, based on evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately about care plans.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to support coordinated care.
