Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Nursing Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for Jersey City Medical Center on a per diem night schedule. Position requires NJ RN license in good standing, BLS/ACLS within 6 months, and telemetry/med-surgical experience.

You will conduct assessments, administer medications, document in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, patient-centered care. Per diem flexibility supports staffing needs while delivering quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Telemetry/Med-Surg experience 1–2 years preferred.
• Per Diem night schedule, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., minimum 4 shifts per month.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and respond to clinical changes.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care per evidence-based guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams for timely decisions.
• Educate patients and families to support understanding and engagement in care.
