Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Telemetry Float Pool Registered Nurse for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. You will float across units, perform assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe patient care on a day shift.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, and a BSN is preferred. Expect three 12.5-hour shifts per week with every other weekend, in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing strongly preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems (EPIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care with strong clinical judgment.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians, supporting timely, well-coordinated care decisions.
• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families for informed care decisions.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds, driving seamless communication and transitions.
