Job summary

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey is seeking a registered nurse for a 12.5-hour Specialty Float Tele position in the Telemetry Float Pool. You will work in a fast-paced environment across multiple units, contributing to patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The role requires NJ RN licensure and BLS, with orientation and mandatory training completed. Scheduling includes full-time shifts from 7p to 8a, three shifts weekly, and every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Completion of all orientation requirements.
• Successful completion of all orientation programs.
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Support all patient-related hospital departments, patients, families and staff.
• Assist with discharge planning and develop written discharge teaching plans.
• Actively delegates tasks while remaining accountable for outcomes.
• Assume charge nurse functions as delegated by the Nurse Manager.
• Complete daily patient classification according to policy.
• Maintain nursing documentation and ensure accuracy.
• Provide patient care in alignment with established standards and policies.
• Demonstrate professionalism with families, visitors and colleagues.
