Job summary

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey is seeking an RN to join the Telemetry Float Pool. You will work in a high-volume telemetry environment across varied units, providing bedside care, patient education, and discharge planning.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, and successful completion of orientation. Full-time evening shifts with 37.5 hours per week and weekend requirements are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
• Successful completion of all orientation programs.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in discharge planning and, upon discharge, ensures a written teaching discharge plan has been developed for assigned patients concerning disease process, complications, medications, diet, physical activity and self-care needs.
• Assumes charge nurse functions as delegated by Nurse Manager, including assessing staffing needs, organizing and delegating work assignments based on patient acuity and individual staff skill levels.
• Delivers individualized patient care consistent with established standards of care, policies and procedures and other regulatory standards.
• Maintains complete, accurate, concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions and patient responses within tour of duty.
• Provides privacy and confidentiality and exhibits tact and compassion at all times, regardless of circumstances.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the care of telemetry patients and the related equipment needed to care for these patients: electrode placement, arrhythmia interpretation, code care, etc.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing
