Job summary

Visionworks onsite is seeking an Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS)/Optometric Assistant to guide patients through remote eye exams, coordinating with Telemedicine Physicians and OD. You will assist with preliminary testing, maintain records, and ensure a smooth patient journey from check-in to eyewear selection.

The role emphasizes a friendly, human and bold approach, handling tasks from restocking to phones to support patient experience.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience

Responsibilities

• Personally assist remote eye exam processes and act as liaison between patients and Telemedicine Remote Physicians
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
