Job summary

Visionworks Onsite Telehealth Specialist (TS)/Optometric Assistant (Telehealth) is the face of our patient care, guiding the patient through the telemed remote eye exam and ensuring their eye care and eyewear needs are met with clarity and care.

The role involves assisting remote eye exam processes, maintaining patient records, and coordinating with OD to educate patients and move them to the sales floor for product recommendations.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience

Responsibilities

• Personally assist remote eye exam processes and act as liaison between patients and Telemedicine Remote Physicians
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
