Job summary
Firefly Fiber Broadband is seeking a Sales Engineer to partner with the Sales team, assess customer needs, design telecommunications solutions, and support sales with DWDM, Dark Fiber, DIA, XGS-PON, and VoIP services. The role serves as a technical expert across the sales cycle, helping prospects evaluate options and select solutions matching business needs.
You will travel to customer sites and industry events, presenting to engineers and executives and helping close complex opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in a customer-facing technical sales role in telecom, ISP, or carrier markets.
- Proficient presenting to customers at all levels, from engineers to executives.
- Strong working knowledge of DWDM transport and wavelength services.
- Deep understanding of Dark Fiber architecture and route design.
- Experience with DIA delivery, BGP routing, and SLA structures.
- Knowledge of XGS-PON/GPON access and FTTP/FTTH models.
- Experience with VoIP solutions, SIP trunking, and QoS.
- Familiarity with FTTC deployments and MEF service delivery.
- Proven ability to support and help close complex technical sales opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; customer-first mindset.
