Job summary

Firefly Fiber Broadband is seeking a Sales Engineer to partner with the Sales team in Virginia. This customer-facing technical sales role designs telecommunications solutions, supports deals, and helps customers evaluate DWDM, Dark Fiber, DIA, XGS-PON, and VoIP options to meet business needs.

The role requires 3+ years in a technical sales capacity in telecom, ability to present to all levels, and willingness to travel to customer sites and events. Strong MEF and FTTC knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing technical sales role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Systems Engineer) in telecom, ISP, or carrier markets.
• Proficient presenting to customers at all levels—from engineers to executives.
• Strong knowledge of DWDM transport and wavelength services; Dark Fiber architecture and route design.
• DIA delivery, BGP routing, and SLA structures; XGS-PON/GPON access and FTTP/FTTH models.
• VoIP solutions, SIP trunking, and QoS; FTTC deployments; MEF service delivery options.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer-facing sales support and solution design.
• Support technical evaluations and design of telecom solutions for prospects.
• Assist in deal support and closing by validating technical requirements.
• Maintain relationships and contribute to the sales pipeline with engineering input.
