Job summary

Metronet is hiring a Controls Manager to draft, manage, and maintain project contracts, develop schedules, and oversee procurement, reporting to senior leadership.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will monitor financial health, manage subcontractor agreements, and ensure compliance while coordinating with executive leadership and customers. The role emphasizes leadership within the project team and effective communication.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in construction management, civil, or electrical engineering preferred.
• Strong financial reporting skills.
• Extensive experience with procurement of materials and services.
• 4+ years of telecommunications construction experience.
• Familiarity with project management tools and telecommunications engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, distribute, and evaluate project related RFPs/RFQs.
• Develop and draft scopes of work with other departments.
• Administration of subcontracts and subcontractor agreements, including bid review and selection.
• Maintain project inventory and warehouse facilities.
• Manage local and state permitting processes.
• Contract compliance management/assurance.
• Maintain and manage Contractor and Professional Engineering Agreement files.
• Monitor daily production reports and update project schedules accordingly.
• Monitor project progression relative to the schedule.
• Create project budgets and report results.
• Submit financial forecasts and project progress reports.
