Metronet in Albuquerque seeks a Construction Manager to lead projects, manage budgets, schedules, and customer expectations. You will supervise the project team, interpret specifications, and ensure compliance with contracts and permits.

The role demands strong telecom construction insight, financial acumen, and a track record of large-scale project delivery. As a key liaison, you will deliver progress reports, manage changes, and maintain close communication with leadership and clients.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or civil engineering preferred
• Equivalent experience will be considered
• Strong knowledge of Telecom construction and engineering, project budget creation and management, project scheduling and tracking, project finance, cost reporting, and field office operations
• Solid business acumen and experience in managing large telecom construction projects
• Ten or more years of telecommunications OSP network design and construction experience or acceptable equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Review and fully understand the contracts and requirements of each project
• Create and execute project work plans, schedules, and control budgets with resources
• Assign duties to the project management team and staff
• Manage day-to-day operations to ensure on-time and under-budget completion
• Meet with customers with reports to provide progress updates and manage changes
• Interpret project specifications and deliver scope decisions as technical expert
• Communicate requirements to staff and assist with tech/design questions
• Represent Metronet as spokesperson with internal and external customers
• Ensure contract, permit and authorization compliance
• Review and approve job cost reports to home office
• Maintain communication with Director of Construction and management
• Produce quality results efficiently and cost-effectively
• Foster return business by professional representation
• Respond clearly to requests, and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Maintain punctuality and professional appearance per policy
• Pursue personal development to support role and team
• Adhere to policy, regulation and procedures
