Job summary

Metronet is seeking a Project Director to lead assigned fiber-optic projects, responsible for budgets, timelines, customer expectations, and team management. The role interfaces with customers and drives successful delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a BS/BA in construction management or related engineering field, with strong telecom construction knowledge and budgeting/scheduling experience. The position emphasizes leadership and strategic communication within outside plant programs.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or civil engineering preferred.
• Equivalent experience will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of telecom construction and engineering, budgeting, scheduling, finance, cost reporting, and field office operations.

Responsibilities

• Review budgets, schedules and requirements for each project.
• Create and execute project work plans and control budgets.
• Assign duties to the project management team and staff.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
• Meet with customers to give progress updates and manage changes.
• Interpret project specifications and guide scope/delivery decisions.
• Communicate requirements to staff regarding technology and design requirements.
• Develop relationships with customers and coordinate updates/meetings.
