Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager - Telecom for industrial projects across the United States, with up to 50% travel and preference for near a U.S. office. You’ll bridge engineering design and construction, guiding bid packages and constructability reviews.

You’ll lead multi-discipline coordination, identify risks, and partner with vendors and internal teams to ensure a complete scope and schedule alignment for telecom and low voltage work on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in electrical engineering or 15 years in construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience, including certified technical training.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting low voltage electrical design drawings for construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving design and constructability concerns and disputes.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities from design and modularization.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of telecom and low voltage for construction sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and align with schedules.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
• Coordinate across stakeholders for full WBS and scope understanding.
