Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Preconstruction Manager – Telecom to bridge design and construction for major industrial projects. You will lead telecom and low‑voltage planning, coordinating with internal teams and contractors to ensure complete scope coverage on site.

The role supports data center projects nationwide with up to 50% travel, ideally near a U.S. Jacobs office. Competitive base salary with comprehensive benefits and focus on constructability and sequencing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years experience in Electrical engineering or 15 years experience in construction management for industrial projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• General understanding of construction means, methods, codes and standards.
• Experience interpreting low voltage electrical engineering drawings and specs for construction purposes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership resolving in-progress design and constructability concerns related to drawings and specifications.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities from design and modularization.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during design phase.
• Organize cross-discipline evaluation of telecom and low voltage for construction sequencing.
