Job summary

Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager – Telecom for U.S. projects, including data center work, with up to 50% travel.

The role bridges engineering design and construction, coordinating with internal teams and contractors to develop complete bid packages and sequencing for telecom and low voltage work on site. You will assess constructability, identify schedule and cost savings, lead cross‑discipline evaluations, and support vendor data reviews

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience
• Certified technical training is a plus
• Excellent understanding of construction means, methods, codes, and standards
• Experience interpreting low voltage electrical design drawings for construction
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in resolving constructability concerns and design interpretation.
• Identify schedule and cost savings opportunities based on design and modularization potential.
• Identify trade partners for early contractor engagement during the design phase.
• Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of telecom and low voltage construction sequencing.
• Identify risks for long lead construction activities and synchronize with schedules.
• Develop and review construction bid packages for contractor award.
• Coordinate work-breakdown structure to cover complete scope.
• Review Vendor Data Requirement submittals for constructability impacts.
