Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Telecommunications BIM Designer to lead design documentation and manage Revit BIM models across disciplines. You will collaborate with telecom leads and team members to produce fully coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings in line with Jacobs and client BIM standards.

Ideal candidates will have strong Revit experience and telecom design knowledge, with hybrid work options in the United States to support client delivery and collaboration in data center environments.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of Revit design experience.
• At least 2 years of telecom systems design experience.
• Growing understanding of codes and standards shaping design decisions.
• Growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam as markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Engage in design documentation and manage Revit BIM models with coordination from other leads.
• Create and manage content towards fully coordinated 3D models across all disciplines.
• Produce 2D construction drawings in alignment with project standards.
• Collaborate with designers, architects and engineers to convert design intent into constructable deliverables.
