Job summary

Police Athletic League (PAL) in New York City seeks a Teen Supervisor to oversee after-school and teen programming at PAL centers and NYC public schools. You will supervise staff, coordinate with partners, and develop engaging activities that support SEL, mental health, and inclusion.

Strong leadership and collaboration are essential. The role requires two years of youth work, leadership experience, and bilingual capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Two years of direct experience working with youth under 13.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in program management or supervision.
  • Knowledge of DYCD Connect or similar systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bilingual abilities in Spanish, French, or Chinese preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Foster SEL and well-being in a safe, inclusive environment.
  • Oversee PAL School Teen Programming and inclusion coordination.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise part-time teen staff.
  • Ensure compliance with SACC regs, policies, and funding contracts.
  • Develop Youth Development culture and coach across programs.
  • Coordinate with Directors and HQ to grow innovative programming.
  • Collect and analyze program data for recommendations.
  • Maintain partnerships with NYPD, NYCPS, DYCD, DOH, and others.
  • Plan citywide programs and events; handle on-site mediation.
  • Respond to urgent mental health needs (suicide prevention, grief).
