Job summary

The Police Athletic League (PAL) of New York City is seeking a Teen Supervisor to lead PAL’s teen programming at the New South Bronx Center. The role reports to the Youthlink Director and requires collaboration with site staff, NYPD, and school partners to deliver engaging after-school and weekend activities.

You will recruit and supervise part-time teen staff, ensure SEL and mental health supports are embedded, and help plan citywide events while maintaining PAL policies and data-driven

Qualifications

• Associate degree or credential in youth work required with experience in youth under 13.
• 2+ years in program management and staff supervision, with leadership experience.
• Knowledge ofDYCD Connect preferred; strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to learn mental health, SEL, and inclusion strategies and apply them.
• Able to travel to PAL locations across NYC for training.

Responsibilities

• Foster social and emotional competencies and well-being in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise part-time Teen program staff and oversee implementation.
• Ensure program alignment with PAL policies, calendar, and funding obligations.
• Develop Youth Development culture and train staff in SEL and inclusion.
• Coordinate with Director and HQ to grow programming opportunities.
• Collect data and make data-driven recommendations for PAL programs.
• Maintain partnerships with NYPD, NYCPS, DYCD, DOH and other partners.
• Plan and coordinate citywide programs and events.
• Provide mediation for on-site issues and address time-sensitive needs.
