Police Athletic League Inc is seeking an Assistant Director to lead afterschool and school-based programs in NYC. You will supervise staff, coordinate mental health supports, and ensure compliance with DYCD/DPS funding while partnering with NYPD and school partners.

Responsibilities include program management, staff supervision, outreach, and data-driven planning to advance PAL’s mission across five boroughs. Strong communication and leadership are essential; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field with 2 years of youth experience.
• NYS Children’s Program Administrator Credential or SACC Credential with 2 years of youth experience.
• Two years in college with 18 credits in child development, education, physical education or recreation.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in program management and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Foster social and emotional well-being in a safe, inclusive environment.
• Assist with PAL afterschool programming and mental health support coordination.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise part-time staff and volunteers.
• Ensure compliance with SACC regulations and funding obligations.
• Coordinate with NYPD, DYCD, DOH, NYCPS and community partners.
