Job summary
Cheney Public Schools Technology Services is seeking an IT Support Specialist (Technology III) to join the team in Cheney, WA. The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining district hardware, software, and infrastructure to ensure reliable student and staff technology services.
The selected candidate will handle Active Directory tasks, software deployment, network support, and documentation, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and efficient service delivery in a school
Qualifications
- Two or more years of college or trade school in computer science or related field and two years of professional work experience with LANs/WANs and microcomputers; OR four years of experience with LANs/WANs and microcomputers.
- CompTIA or industry-standard certification must be completed within 90 days of hire.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License and background clearance.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot computer hardware, applications, programs, updates, and operating systems; manage telecom systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain network connectivity (wired and wireless).
- Perform limited Active Directory functions (user accounts, IP reservations).
- Assist installation of new software and re-imaging; provide tech support to staff and students.
