Job summary

The Anchorage School District is seeking a Tech Support III to work with Information Technology staff providing advanced technical support for servers, desktops, and applications. This role leads escalation handling within a three-tier support model and develops solutions for complex issues, with involvement in R&D for new problems and adherence to PERS retirement guidelines.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent education/experience.
Four years of progressively responsible experience in technical support and customer service.
Experience with Macintosh and Windows operating systems, applications, and hardware.
Current Alaska driver's license and transportation for district business.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise application support at the IT Service Desk, routing escalated tickets.
Coordinate multiple projects from start to resolution, meeting objectives.
Oversee documentation and troubleshooting of desktop OS, user applications, and peripherals in Mac and Windows environments.
Develop and approve training manuals and aids for applications.
Document and lead trainings for computer and application usage for peers and subordinates.
Supervise daily activities of IT staff on client-server deployments and troubleshooting.
