Job summary

Mead School District seeks a Building Computer Technician II to provide friendly technical support to end users and assist with implementing district technology initiatives. The position is based at Mead, Washington, and reports to the Director of Technology Services. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm, 260 days per year.

Qualifications

• Two years of technical support experience preferred.
• Vendor certifications preferred (e.g., CISCO, CompTIA A+, Network+).
• Extensive knowledge of PC and Apple hardware and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to end-users.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff.
• Install and configure computers, printers and mobile devices on the District’s LAN.
• Install software on workstations including stand-alone and server-based applications.
• Perform hardware upgrades for client computers and district printers/copiers.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain computers, printers/copiers, and mobile devices.
• Record, log, and resolve tech issues in the online work order system.
• Track repair parts to complete work orders.
• Install network cable terminations & connectors and troubleshoot networking cabling.
