Job summary

PAR Technology Corporation is seeking a Technical Writer to translate complex product and platform knowledge into clear, accurate documentation for internal teams and external customers. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, Support, and Customer Success to identify documentation needs and drive knowledge management across the business.

The role requires researching technical topics, shaping content architecture, and maintaining quality through QA.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical writing or digital documentation.
• Ability to research complex technical topics and produce audience-appropriate content.
• Excellent written and spoken English with meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritise documentation gaps based on user needs, product releases, and stakeholder feedback.
• Determine what to include or exclude in documentation based on audience requirements.
• Select and recommend documentation tools, CMS, and publishing methods.
• Establish QA processes and determine release readiness.
• Involve SMEs or escalate to leadership as needed.
• Set review/update cadences to keep content current across versions.
• Structure content architecture for easy navigation and long-term maintainability.
