Overview

A Sporting Goods Wholesaling company seeks a Technical Writer to join the PMO Communications Team. The Technical Writer will produce and maintain high‑quality software technology support materials, process documentation, status reports for executives, and communications to the field. All Communications Team members ensure written and video documentation is current and accurate, track IT documentation in a central repository, and replace outdated documentation as needed.

Documentation includes, but is not limited to, user guides, quick guides, training slide decks, computer-based training, and communications templates. The writer must grasp complex technical concepts quickly and translate them into clear text and visuals.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain high-quality software technology support materials and process documentation.
• Create status reports for executives and communications to the field.
• Ensure documentation is current, accurate, and tracked in a central repository; remove or replace old documentation as needed.
• Develop user guides, quick guides, training slide decks, computer-based training, and communications templates.
• Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable text and visuals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience writing technical documentation as a Technical Writer.
• Proven experience creating documents such as Policies and Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, process documents, user manuals, quick guides, and general document templates.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint to administer and manage sites, document libraries, lists, permissions, workflows, and content organization.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience working with Software Development teams.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
