Qualifications

• 12+ years of related experience creating technical training and leading a team of technical trainers in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Science or Education/Development.
• Experience in manufacturing with knowledge of manufacturing principles and techniques and training both technical and non-technical subjects.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication with ability to speak to large groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational support for curricula development that is role- and activity-based.
• Develop site training capabilities using a train-the-trainer approach.
• Monitor learning maturity and ensure continuous improvement for training systems and programs.
• Leads a team of colleagues with responsibility for training and knowledge management.
• Serves as the business process owner for all technical training including technician level qualification training for operations and maintenance technicians.
• Maintains training infrastructure that ensures safe, standardized, role-based training compliant with regulations.
• Develops innovative immersive training methodologies enabling accelerated knowledge transfer.
• Ensures learning objectives are tied to business outcomes with measurable criteria.
• Collaborates with enterprise level and site training leads to ensure consistent application of training methodology.
• Develops material and training for plant employees.
• Write, edit and update job aids and training documents.
• Coordinate training content with SMEs.
• Analyze operating problems to identify training needs and develop programs.
• Provide oversight to regional training specialists.
• Stay up to date with training authoring software and delivery technology.
