Job summary

BD is seeking a Technical Support Specialist 2 to resolve complex issues, manage escalations, and support ES 1.1x upgrades. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality customer service.

The role requires SQL expertise, Windows/Linux IT familiarity, and the ability to work flexible hours from a home office with on-site collaboration as needed in the USA. This position is a part of the BD Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronic Technologies or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• Microsoft SQL experience (2+ years).
• Must be able to write queries and analyze SQL data (SELECT/JOIN).
• SSIS (SQL Job) exposure/experience.
• SQL Reporting Services.
• Windows Server (2008+) and Desktop Administration (Win7+).
• Networking topology, terminology, commands.
• IIS and Web Application Administration.
• Group Policies terminology and administration.
• VMWare terminology and administration.
• Application installation and troubleshooting.
• Ports (Networking/OS).
• Understanding of XML language (1+ years).
• Ability to review application and OS logs (2+ years).
• Flexible in working hours for remediation team schedules.
• Remote position working from home office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in resolving complex, time-sensitive issues including customer escalations.
• Handle site downtime, remote troubleshooting, and dispatch to field service when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of ES 1.1x; collaborate with upgrade teams.
• Provide timely updates and ensure customer needs are met.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements for ES 1.1x remediation.
