Job summary

WEG Electric Corp is seeking a Service Engineer I to join our team in Duluth, GA. You will provide technical support via phone and email, troubleshoot issues, and manage warranty claims and third-party service coordination.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in technical support or service engineering, with strong knowledge of electric motors and reading schematics. This on-site role offers growth within a global motor manufacturer.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical certificate in an electrical, mechanical or related discipline preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and end users via phone and email.
• Troubleshoot product and application issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Receive, review and process warranty claims.
• Analyze warranty claim information and request additional details when required.
• Communicate technical and quality related issues with internal departments including Engineering, Quality, Sales and Operations.
• Serve as a technical resource for both internal and external customers.
• Issue warranty credits and coordinate claim resolution with customers and service providers.
• Prepare return authorisations, RGAs and factory bill back documentation as needed.
• Track product failures and warranty trends to support quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop warranty and service related reports for management.
• Recommend replacement parts and repair options to customers.
• Coordinate third-party service support when required.
• Maintain warranty repair logs and accurate customer records.
• Collaborate with team members to share technical knowledge and support departmental objectives.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
