Job summary

WEG Electric is seeking a Product Support Engineer (Service) for our Duluth, GA office. You will provide technical support for our Electric Motors product line and handle post-sales troubleshooting, warranty claims, and technical issues.

As a member of the Service Department, you will resolve long-term and escalated calls, communicate with Quality, Engineering, and Sales, analyze warranty data, issue credits, and coordinate with factories in Brazil and Mexico.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related experience.
• Customer-service oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the Electric Motors product line.

Job description

WEG Electric has a great opportunity for a Product Support Engineer (Service) to join our Service Department in our Duluth, GA office. This role will be responsible to provide technical support for our Electric Motors product line. The Service Engineer will resolve long-term and escalated technical calls and emails dealing with post-sales troubleshooting, warranty claims and technical issues. Additional responsibilities involves communicating issues with internal customers (Quality, Engineering, Sales), analyzing warranty claims data and determine its accuracy, issuing credits and working with the factories in Brazil and Mexico. This role will also arrange third party assistance for customers, if needed.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent and 2-3 years of related experience. Must be customer service oriented and have a working knowledge of electric motors as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information. Prior SAP experience is a plus. Requires strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Must be a team player, demonstrate effective problem solving skills and display strong attention to detail. May require occasional travel (25%) and overtime.
