Job summary

GAF Commercial in Arkadelphia is seeking a Manager Technical Services to lead plant analytics, safety, quality and cost control initiatives. The role provides technical support across departments, drives process improvements, and ensures compliance with product specifications and materials handling.

You will oversee trials, manage the quality team, and coordinate capital projects to optimize manufacturing performance while aligning with Lean and Six Sigma principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operating departments in statistical applications and process capability; coordinate plant technical support activities and participate in improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain accurate process standard databases; audit quality of finished goods and raw materials; report results.
• Oversee trials for process improvements and new materials; coordinate with Operations on fitness for use of raw materials.
• Manage quality department personnel and development plans; support job function responsibilities as needed.
• Lead capital projects to evaluate performance and improve cost and quality.
