Job summary

GAF in Shafter, CA seeks a Manager Technical Services to lead analytical and process initiatives at the plant, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost control. You will support departments, develop standards, and drive improvements across manufacturing operations.

The role includes overseeing trials, managing capital projects, and delivering robust technical reporting. Travel up to 25% and a focus on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operating departments in statistical applications and problem solving.
• Coordinate plant technical support activities and participate in project teams to improve processes.
• Develop and maintain accurate process standard databases and audit systems for finished goods and raw materials.
• Oversee trials for process improvement, raw materials, and new products; manage pre-trial and post-trial activities.
• Lead and develop quality and maintenance personnel and manage capital projects for cost and quality improvements.
