Job summary

GAF seeks an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer III to drive operational excellence across one or more plant facilities. You will champion Lean methods, mentor cross-functional teams, and push high-impact projects that raise safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

This role reports to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to the Director of the GAF Business System. Ideal candidates bring proven Lean expertise, strong coaching skills, and the ability to influence without direct

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in executing continuous improvement initiatives as well as improvement systems.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or applied experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment of Lean manufacturing principles across a high-velocity production environment.
• Serve as a decisive organizational change agent through Kaizen events and facilitation.
• Champion a sustainable continuous improvement culture with cross-functional engagement.
• Analyze operational metrics to identify optimization trends and report progress to leaders.
• Execute operational gap assessments and implement countermeasures.
• Develop and deploy process optimization and quality enhancement programs.
• Mentor teams in root-cause analysis and problem-solving frameworks.
• Forge partnerships with manufacturing leadership to secure buy-in for CI initiatives.
