Job summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation in Cleveland, OH, seeks a Technical Sales Leadership Development Associate. This one-year rotational program blends leadership development with Territory/Account management to accelerate growth in Parker’s markets.

Participants gain hands-on experience, mentorship from senior leaders, and exposure to cross-divisional products, with assignments across Parker locations and upfront relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business (preferred)
• Technical competence; mechanical inclination a plus
• Overnight travel >50-75% for initial 12-18 months
• Relocation domestically to assigned field/territory after program
• Experience in industrial/manufacturing environment is a plus
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency or eligible status required for ITAR/EAR compliance

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains strong client relationships with OEM customers and distributor accounts.
• Ensures Parker products are specified to grow revenue by prioritizing opportunities per account.
• Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of Parker group/divisional products and benefits.
• Keeps current with internal and external training and development.
• Obtains specifications/approvals at engineering firms and major accounts to grow sales and margins.
• Gathers competitive product intelligence and reports regularly.
• Supports strategy planning for accounts and cross-divisional product referrals.
• Provides product training at distributors and customer levels; motivates distributors and converts competitors' accounts.
