Job summary

Trane Technologies invites you to join a hands-on Summer Internship in Technical Sales across North America. You will collaborate with Sales Account Managers and customers, learning the design, application and sale of HVAC systems, and participate in sales meetings and field work.

The program runs 12 weeks and develops your technical, business, leadership, and communication skills, with opportunities to join the Graduate Training Program after graduation. This role may be remote or onsite.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree for the full summer internship.
• Preferred fields: Business, Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Engineering.
• Must have completed at least sophomore year before the start of the internship.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Some roles may be remote; others may be hybrid or onsite across North America.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months; ability to provide proof of insurance; no major violations in past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, sales and service calls; customer meetings with experienced account managers.
• Understand steps sales engineers take from start to finish and be hands-on during internship.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact in solution-making.
