Job summary

Trane Technologies invites you to join a hands-on Summer Internship in Technical Sales, working with Sales Account Managers and customers across North America. You’ll learn the design, application, and sale of HVAC systems, controls, and services for commercial and institutional buildings.

The 12-week program develops your technical, business, sales, leadership, and communication skills, with the possibility to join our graduate training program after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree for the full duration of the internship.
• Preferred fields include Business, Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, or Engineering.
• U.S. citizen or have work authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings; business functions; sales and service calls; customer meetings with mentors.
• Understand the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job and be hands-on in those steps during the internship.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact in the solution-making process.
