Job summary

Trane Technologies invites motivated engineering students to join its 12-week Summer Internship program in Technical Sales across North America. You will gain hands-on experience with sales engineers, learn design, application and sale of HVAC systems, and be mentored by account managers.

This internship develops technical, business, and communication skills, exposing you to Service, Equipment, Building Automation, Fulfillment, and more, with potential entry to the Graduate Training Program

Qualifications

Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering for the entire internship duration.
Must have completed at least sophomore year before start of internship.
U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
Some postings may be remote, hybrid, or onsite at North American facilities.
Travel: Less than 15% in defined geography.

Responsibilities

Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
Understand design, application and sale of HVAC systems, controls, parts, and services.
Attend sales meetings, business functions, and customer visits with mentors.
Observe steps sales engineers take from start to finish and participate in steps.
Build relationships with customers as a daily point of contact for solutions.
