Job summary

Trane Technologies offers a 12-week Summer internship in Technical Sales across North America, providing hands-on experience with Sales Account Managers, and exposure to HVAC systems, building automation, and customer engagements.

The program develops technical, business, leadership and communication skills, with potential entry into the Graduate Training Program after graduation. Some roles may be remote, hybrid, or on-site at North American facilities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering.
• Sophomore year completed before the start.
• US citizen or legal right to work in the US.
• Some roles may be remote or hybrid or on-site across North America.
• Travel: Less than 15% in defined geography.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, sales and service calls, customer meetings with mentors.
• Learn the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job and be hands-on in those steps.
• Engage with customers as a daily point-of-contact to create ownership in the solution-making process.
