Job summary

Trane Technologies invites motivated engineering students to join a 12-week Summer internship in Technical Sales. You will develop technical, business, sales engineering, leadership, and communication skills while exploring HVAC equipment and building controls.

The program feeds into our Graduate Training Program after graduation. You will work with Sales Account Managers, learn system design and application for commercial buildings, and gain exposure to hands‑on sales processes.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the internship.
• Sophomore year completion before the start of the internship.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Passion for continuous learning in technical fields.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our industry leading Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for large buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, sales and service calls with seasoned account managers.
• Understand the steps sales engineers take from start to finish and be hands‑on in those steps.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point‑of‑contact in solution making.
