Joseph Michaels International, a Houston-based distributor of industrial fasteners, seeks a seasoned Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Specialist. You will drive strategic account growth across manufacturing, construction, and solar sectors, with emphasis on local Houston opportunities and support from our Houston Distribution Center.

You will lead consultative selling, manage the full sales cycle, negotiate contracts, and provide technical guidance on fastener specifications.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive B2B sales experience in industrial fasteners.
• Experience selling to manufacturing, construction, and solar sectors.
• Strong knowledge of fastener specifications and materials.
• Proven ability to prospect, qualify, present, negotiate, and close.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• CRM proficiency with track record of managing pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and secure new business opportunities in target industries, focusing on Houston and Texas.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with key clients and serve as primary technical contact.
• Conduct needs assessments and recommend tailored fastener solutions.
• Guide customers through complex technical decisions and applications.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts for profitable sales.
• Oversee full sales cycle from inquiry to post-delivery support.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
• Coordinate with operations and procurement to forecast demand and manage inventory.
