Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies seeks a Technical Product Manager to drive requirements, backlog, market adoption, and revenue for EW & Sensing solutions. Translate defense needs into hardware configurations, software specs, and operator experiences, bridging R&D and field execution.

Based in Irvine, CA with a hybrid schedule and potential 100% remote options for US-based candidates; travel up to 25–50% for field testing and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, RF Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical product management or systems engineering experience within defense, aerospace, or wireless communications industries.
• Strong working knowledge of wireless communications, RF systems, signal processing, SDRs, mesh networking, or electromagnetic spectrum operations.
• Demonstrated ability to translate high-level military or tactical use cases into logical and structured technical requirements.
• Proven track record of influencing cross-functional engineering, operations, and sales teams without direct authority to meet rigid release dates.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
• All employment contingent on successful clearance of background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Translating high-level tactical EW mission capabilities into granular software user stories and hardware/sensor configurations.
• Directing technical requirements, driving physical hardware NPI cycles, and validating end-to-end user experience for FASST Handheld and LSNRS portfolios.
• Owning and defining how the transceiver operates for edge node operations.
• Collaborating closely with hardware and software engineering teams.
• Managing sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release cadences for specialized EW-related software features, firmware builds, and updates.
• Conducting technical analysis of customer feature requests and establishing scope boundaries.
• Overseeing technical lifecycle and physical hardware NPI for FASST and LSNRS products from concept to sustainment.
• Measuring product performance and driving continuous software refinement and field feedback.
