Job summary

ABB is seeking a technically strong, customer-focused Inside Sales Specialist to pursue incoming leads, provide technical guidance, support bids and proposals, and convert customer needs into sales opportunities.

You will collaborate across sales, proposal, operations, and customer teams to keep opportunities moving and ensure a positive customer experience from inquiry to order and delivery. Hybrid work from Houston, TX is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• 8 years of experience required, including at least 3 years in the electrical industry.
• Familiarity with 3-phase AC Power Systems and related equipment.
• Experience with complex bid/proposal processes and contract negotiations.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate across customers and internal teams.
• Experience supporting EPCs or large account sales preferred.
• Travel expectations < 10%.
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary inside sales and customer support resource, qualifying leads and providing technical guidance.
• Manage and coordinate the proposal process, review RFQs, oversee Salesforce opportunities, and support pricing/pre-negotiation.
• Drive customer satisfaction and project execution through proactive communication and post-sale coordination.
