Job summary

Travelers seeks an Account Executive Officer, Technology to partner with agents and brokers for coverage on new and renewal business. You will assess risk and build relationships to drive profitability in challenging markets. This role requires strong communication, underwriting discipline, and the ability to travel for external meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in commercial lines.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lines products and the local insurance market.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• CPCU designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Foster and maintain relationships with external partners by meetings with agents and brokers; travel to such meetings.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Independently develop and execute agency sales plans and collaborate with the Managing Director to develop regional plans.
• May assist in training and mentoring of less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
