Job summary

Tanium is seeking an Intern for the Technical Support Engineer track, offering mentorship and hands-on training in security, operations, asset management, and risk management. This role prioritizes customer satisfaction and proactive problem solving in a hybrid work model at Bellevue, WA or Emeryville, CA.

You will learn product knowledge, contribute to live issue triage, and complete reports while gaining exposure to enterprise customers and DoD involvement.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
• Full-time availability June 7, 2027 – August 13, 2027.
• Undergraduate student enrolled in college/university.
• Eligible graduation December 2027 or Spring 2028.
• GPA 3.5 or above.
• Some experience with endpoints, networking or OS/servers.
• Love for creating an amazing customer experience.
• Can work independently with good judgment and attention to detail.
• IT Helpdesk experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with a 1:1 mentor TSE on real-world customer problems in security, operations, asset management, & risk management.
• Triaging technical issues, engaging with customers, and conducting root cause analysis on live Tanium implementations.
• Support efforts will encompass security, operations, and automation.
• Assist customers with Tanium platform/module upgrades.
• Partner with other TSEs to assist with cases.
• Shape and deliver special projects with peer interns that impact Tanium.
• Acquire understanding of Tanium technology and how to support and operate it.
• Document best practices and track activity and root causes.
