Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Geek Squad Agent at our East Hanover, NJ location to help customers with technology support, set up devices and advise on repair options. You’ll work with fellow agents, learn through training, and provide accurate time estimates for next steps.

The role requires at least 3 months of retail or customer service experience, a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a passion for technology with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience working in retail or customer service
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends
• Preferred qualifications: passion for technology and desire to solve problems
• Ability to adapt and learn new skills in a fast-paced industry

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during the check-in and checkout process
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents
