Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Geek Squad Agent to be the first point of contact for technology support and solutions at our Owensboro store. You’ll be trained to assess customer needs, perform basic services, and collaborate on more complex repairs with fellow agents.

Training and resources will help you build knowledge, provide accurate time estimates, and advise customers on repair or replacement options while delivering friendly, proactive service.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, timely service to customers during check-in and checkout.
• Understand technology issues by asking questions, listening, asking follow-up questions, taking detailed notes and providing accurate time estimates for next steps.
• Help customers set up new devices and provide advice on whether to repair or replace old devices.
• Monitor service queues and provide accurate status updates to customers.
• Maintain knowledge and skillsets through certified training courses.
• Clearly communicate and partner with fellow agents.
