Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a strategic Sourcing & Procurement professional to lead technology-related supplier negotiations, drive competitive sourcing events, and manage vendor relationships across software, cloud, hardware, and services.

You will collaborate with Technology, Legal, Third-Party Risk, and Finance to optimize spend, ensure regulatory compliance, and realize cost savings while maintaining strong governance and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2+ years of financial/business experience (or 6+ years with no degree).
• Experience with RFPs/RFIs/RFPs and vendor negotiations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT sourcing initiatives with cross-functional teams and executive sponsorship.
• Develop and execute RFPs/RFQs/RFIs based on business needs and market conditions.
• Negotiate enterprise software, cloud, hardware, and services contracts with Legal involvement.
• Maintain risk controls and stay aligned with regulatory standards.
• Track savings, cost avoidance, and performance metrics.
