Job summary

M&T Bank seeks aStrategic Sourcing professional to collaborate with business and support units, drive the sourcing process, and secure favorable supplier contracts. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, develop RFx documents, and present recommendations with savings impact.

Hybrid role requiring onsite presence four days weekly at regional offices, with remote work options within the M&T footprint for qualified candidates. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of financial or business experience, or 6 years of combined education/experience.
Proficient in procurement software and mainframe systems used by the bank.
Strong time management, detail orientation, and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication; strong presentation skills.
Experience writing RFPs and negotiating contracts; familiarity with CLM and eSignature tools.

Responsibilities

Lead sourcing initiatives with an Executive Sponsor and cross-functional project team.
Develop and execute RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs; analyze and short-list supplier proposals.
Lead contract negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
Prepare documentation for executives on recommendations and expected savings.
Support Third-Party Risk Management to ensure vendor vetting and approval.
Identify savings opportunities by researching procurement trends.
