Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Strategic Sourcing professional to drive major supplier initiatives from requirements to contract negotiations. You will lead cross-functional teams, develop and issue RFPs, evaluate bids, and secure favorable terms with strong governance and risk management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of financial or business experience (or 6 years of combined education/work).
Proficient with procurement software, spreadsheets and databases.
Strong time management, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

For major sourcing initiatives, identify an Executive Sponsor and cross-functional project team.
Lead the sourcing process: develop RFPs/RFQs/RFIs, evaluate proposals, and coordinate vendor demos.
Negotiate contracts to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms with Legal involvement.
Document recommendations, savings and impacts for executives and senior management.
Ensure Third-Party Risk Management alignment and proper risk-tiering before contracts.
