Job summary

M&T Bank is seeking a Strategic Sourcing professional to coordinate major sourcing initiatives and lead cross-functional teams to achieve optimal supplier outcomes. You will align with an Executive Sponsor and steer the process from scoping to contract execution.

You will develop and execute RFPs/RFQs/RFIs, evaluate proposals, lead negotiations for favorable terms, and document savings and business impacts for senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of financial/business experience, or 6 years of combined education/experience.
• Proficiency with procurement software and CLM/eSignature tools.
• Strong time management, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience writing and negotiating RFPs and contracts.
• Ability to interact with all management levels and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• For major sourcing initiatives, identify an Executive Sponsor and cross-functional team.
• Develop and execute RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs; evaluate vendor proposals against criteria.
• Lead bid processes, vendor demonstrations, references, and on-site visits.
• Lead contract negotiations with Project Team and Legal for best terms.
• Document savings, impacts, and recommendations for senior management.
• Guide through Third-Party Risk Management to ensure proper vetting and approval.
