Job summary

Connection seeks a Business Development Specialist to drive sales by identifying opportunities and expanding focus accounts across data center, networking, and workforce optimization practices. You will work with Sales and partners to grow market share and maintain a robust pipeline.

The role emphasizes proactive outreach, certifications, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes for customers nationwide.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related business systems.
• IT aptitude with willingness to learn new technologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with sales teams.
• Experience in account planning and upsell/cross-sell strategies.
• Proactive in attending trainings and achieving certifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify solution opportunities with Sales to grow focus practice areas.
• Develop and manage focus accounts with under-penetrated status.
• Find net-new customer opportunities through data analysis.
• Engage in customer calls to identify, develop and close deals.
• Collaborate with partners and field teams to target accounts.
• Maximize partner programs and promotions with Sales.
• Maintain sales pipeline from design to deployment, tracking progress.
• Coach Sales teams on practice area technologies.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
