Job summary

Duval County Public Schools seeks a mid-level Technology Services Technician to support, install, configure, and maintain computer systems and networks in a local/wide area environment. You’ll troubleshoot remotely and onsite, and assist users with standard software and databases.

Responsibilities include handling Help Desk tickets, coordinating warranty work, and ensuring compliance with district policies and standards. Driver’s license required and position is based in Jacksonville, FL.

Qualifications

• Two-year combination of education, training and experience in Windows/Unix/Linux systems.
• A+ and/or Network+ certifications may substitute for one year of experience.
• Associate’s degree can substitute for two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Help Desk trouble calls and initiate tickets.
• Install, configure and relocate technology equipment and software.
• Provide intermediate level assistance on system usage and data transfers.
• Operate Help Desk and remote control software.
• Configure subsystems, products and databases as approved.
• Coordinate warranty work for assigned areas.
• Perform duties per district policies and standards.
